Martin County is seeking a Community Development Manager to provide highly responsible professional administrative work managing the County’s Office of Community Development. This position is responsible for facilitating, monitoring, and ensuring that all projects are implemented in accordance with the goals of their respective advisory boards and the Office of Community Development. Candidate must communicate effectively at every level, forging relationships with both non-profit and business organizations, as well as other local municipalities and government representatives. The candidate in this position works to advance the goals of the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), the Neighborhood Advisory Committees (NACs) and their communities. This work requires the exercise of independent judgement and discretion toward achieving established goals and objectives in a manner which builds community consensus. Work is conducted under the broad direction of the County Administrator or designee.
