$40,247.17 – $64,395.34 Annually

Beginning salary commensurate with qualifications and experience; hiring range between $40 – $49K. 

This position is posted with minimum ranges from level I – level IV, position assignment determined by applicant’s level of certifications.
Plans Examiner I: $19.34 hr;
Plans Examiner II: $20.37 hr;
Plans Examiner III: $21.45 hr;
Plans Examiner IV: $23.78 hr.
Preference is for individual to have Level IV certification; however, an applicant with less certification will be considered.       

Graduation from high school or equivalent and five years experience in general construction or related fields; or any equivalent combination of related training and experience. Provisional certification as a Plans Examiner by the State of Florida must be obtained within three months of employment. Standard certification as a Plans Examiner by the State of Florida must be obtained within two years of issuance of provisional certification. Must possess a valid State of Florida Driver’s license.
