The City of Panama City Beach is currently accepting applications for one Full-Time CRA Manager. Specific requirements include: Must possess a four (4) year degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Planning, Engineering, Architecture or a closely related field, supplemented with five (5) years of progressively responsible experience, including work related to project management, urban development and redevelopment, grant programs, and community redevelopment agency operations. Knowledge of project management principles and practices. Knowledge of construction management. Knowledge of accepted principles and practices in urban planning. Knowledge of current local development trends, community redevelopment and economic development. Knowledge of Florida Statutes and rules, ordinances and codes relating to development, infill development and redevelopment of projects in CRA areas. Ability to function in a director capacity for a major organizational unit requiring significant internal and external interaction. Ability to apply principles of logical or synthesis functions; to deal with several concrete and abstract variables; and to analyze major problems that require complex planning for interrelated activities that can span one or several work units. Ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness and creativity in situations involving broader aspects of organizational programs and operations, moderately unstable situations, or the direction, control, and planning of an entire program or set of programs. Ability to effectively plan, direct, and supervise staff activities. Ability to supervise maintenance of complex administrative records and prepare reports. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees, government officials, private organizations, and the general public. Ability to supervise professional and clerical staff.
