NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR LETTER OF INTEREST FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF EIGHT RESIDENTIAL LOTS IN THE WARES CREEK NEIGHBORHOOD
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Bradenton is soliciting letters of interest for 8 single family surplus residential lots in the Ballard Park neighborhood. Two abut Wares Creek on the north side of 8th Avenue West, five front 8th Avenue West on the south side of the street, and one fronts Ballard Park Drive. The lots are proximate to the beautiful new John and Rebecca Neal Park, that features a community garden and kayak launch.
The City is looking for one developer to build single family homes that meet the City’s “Form Based Code” architectural standards. The City has developed legal descriptions for common rear yard vehicular access for the landlocked parcels, but has not yet recorded them. Location maps and legal descriptions of the properties are available. The two waterfront lots are in the process of being re-platted. A draft plat is available.
The City is offering two incentives for this project: the first is impact fee credits for the former homes on the site and the second is expedited permitting.
There will be a pre-proposal meeting with a question and answer session, and site visits scheduled for this project on April 11th at 3:00 PM at City Hall in the lobby conference room. City Hall is located at 101 Old Main Street in Bradenton, Florida.
This is a non-mandatory meeting; therefore, proposal submission will not be contingent upon attendance at this meeting.
All proposals must be submitted to Bradenton City Hall (101 Old Main Street, Bradenton, FL 34205) addressed to the Contact Person below in writing no later than 4:00 PM on May 9, 2019. Please provide 3 hard copies and one PDF version on a CD. Responses received at any other location will not be considered.
