Description

The City of Rockledge, Florida seeks an Economic Development/Community Redevelopment Agency Coordinator who is responsible for assisting in economic development, marketing, and research activities directed toward broadening the current business and industry base, as well as implementing strategies to attract and recruit new business. This is in addition to being responsible for the Community Redevelopment program, including being the liaison between the City and the Chamber of Commerce, and the business community.

 

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in economic development, urban planning, public administration, marketing, finance or related field and at least two (2) years experience in economic development or community redevelopment, business assistance, commercial development, and/or business retention programs.  Candidate should have outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Understanding of zoning, comprehensive planning, site development and GIS is a plus.
