We will share a case study of how a city and a CRA partnered on water quality projects that benefit the environment and encourage redevelopment. Regulations to restore water quality in Florida can act as barriers to the redevelopment of obsolete projects. Water quality enhancement projects help meet current standards and encourage new development and land uses as part of the redevelopment plan. The case study projects resulted in a water amenity downtown and a nutrient credit bank that eases permitting for redevelopment.
