Economic Development Director:
Fulltime exempt position.
Salary range $75,400 to $85,700 DOQ.
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Economics, Real Estate, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
Four or more years of progressively responsible experience in planning and development, business/public administration, small business development, marketing, economic development, business recruitment, business development and housing development or related field.
Prior experience in promoting reinvestment in housing and neighborhoods, commercial corridors, business development, education and workforce development.
Experience with a Community Redevelopment Agency and Tax Increment Finance Districts is preferred. Knowledge of Florida planning and zoning procedures, economic methods, techniques and programs.
Ability to work effectively with people of varying backgrounds, cultures, interest, educational and experience levels.
