Position: HOUSING LIAISON
Salary: $79,466 Annually
Department: Housing and Economic Sustainability (HES)
Location: 100 Australian Avenue, WPB
Hours: 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday – Friday
Other: THIS IS AN AT-WILL POSITION.
Performs highly independent and responsible professional work in HES. Supports the efforts of providing affordable and workforce housing, which includes permanent housing, as well as supportive and transitional housing throughout Palm Beach County. This position will be versed in the various housing and related programs offered by County departments, Federal, State and municipal housing services. Responsible for the intake, processing, underwriting and closing of homebuyer and developer funding requests. Work is reviewed through conferences and reports for adherence to established policies and achievement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Public/Business Administration, Community Development or Planning, or related field; minimum of five (5) years professional experience, which includes two (2) years working with Boards and Committees and presenting to groups and organizations. Equivalencies: Unrelated Bachelor’s Degree and six (6) years of related experience, which includes three (3) years working with Boards and Committees and presenting to groups and organizations.
PREFERENCE FOR TWO (2) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN/WITH: Professional planning and managing affordable housing programs (must specify on application); conducting training sessions/seminars (must specify on application); preparing a budget (must specify on application). Also desirable: Master’s Degree in Urban/Regional Planning, Public/Business Administration or related field.
