Mobile Tour – Welcome to Maynard Evans High School
8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Separate registration of $40 per person and pre-registration is required. The bus will begin loading at 7:45 a.m.
We will be touring “Evans High School – A Community School” and learning about their unique partnership programs. The school is the focal point for several public-private partnerships that contribute to school achievement, local economic development, job training and placement, and business development. Through these unique partnerships, relationships are built between businesses, organizations and schools, to enhance student learning and promote school improvement. Children’s Home Society of Florida, Orange County Public Schools, UCF’s College of Health and Public Affairs, and True Health are but a few of the partners. As their principal says: “Evans has become a hub of the community, and we are seeing a transformational effect of the community school ingredients as they interact with each other.”
