SENIOR PLANNER
PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
Full-time Exempt
Salary Range: $58,739 – $88,088 DOQ
Under the direct supervision of the Planning & Development Director; Responsible for planning and zoning functions of the Planning and Development Department which include permit review and coordination, development review, comprehensive planning, GIS mapping, and special project coordination.
The Senior Planner is responsible for the coordination between planning, engineering, and public safety functions to ensure that staff reviews are completed in a timely manner. Coordination between planning and building functions to determine consistent application of rules and regulations. The incumbent will inspect properties to ensure compliance with code requirements. Additionaly, the incumbent will review rezonings, conditional use permits, and variance applications and prepare staff reports for applications and presentation of findings to the appropriate board.

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university majoring in Urban/ Regional Planning, Public Administration or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience working in a planning or local government environment. Must have or have ability to obtain a valid Florida Driver’s License.
