Transit Manager – City of Ocala

This is a professional position in the City of Ocala’s Growth Management Department that will manage all transit planning and operations.  The position includes oversight of the contractor responsible for the day-to-day operations of SunTran and monitors performance as it relates to service levels and administrative efficiency.

Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred).  Additionally, 4 years’ experience in transportation planning / transit management and 2 years’ experience in financial grant management is required, or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
